support Greg Mahon after his car accident

Hi, I'm Stephanie and I created this gofund me for my brother Greg Mahon. As most of you know, my brother Greg was in a severe car accident in October 2021. His truck was unrecognizable. It took over an hour for the fire department to cut him out and he was rushed to the trauma unit at Capital Health. He was admitted as a John Doe. It was terrifying trying to find him after hearing he was in a bad accident but I didn't know where he was. He was sent straight into surgery for his femur. He sustained multiple injuries, severely breaking bones through the entire left side of his body top to bottom including his femur, hip, arm, and ribs. Thankfully he only had a concussion and no brain damage. He required many surgeries, ending up with a bunch of rods & plates throughout. After being hospitalized for 3 weeks and undergoing multiple surgeries, he was sent home. He was so happy to be back home and able to see his son Gregory.

 

As of March he started physical therapy and is walking on crutches now. The medical bills are rolling in already adding up and the car insurance only covers so much. He is still trying to keep up on his other bills, transportation, rent, child support and everyday necessities. Anyone who has dealt with a recovery like this can understand the physical and emotional struggles that go along with it.

 

We decided to create a gofundme so that friends and family could chip in to help Greg get back on his feet. Any amount helps, let's lift him up and show him our support and love during this difficult time.
