Give The Goodness Global Fundraising Campaign

Hello, my name is Cody and I am the Director and founder of Give The Goodness Global, a social outreach program I began to help support our mission at GTGG, which is to aid the impoverished in any community we find ourselves in. We are not yet a 501(c)3 nor are we an NGO, but we stand by our commitment to putting some goodness back into the world by donating to local charities or by donating directly, in person focusing on one family or organization at a time and that's precisely what we've been doing since our inception in November of 2022. All of our outreach and actions are transparent and can be seen carried out on our Instagram page @givethegoodnessglobal as well as on our Facebook page of the same name.

The following is the story of how GTGG came to be, and it was all because of a Tuk Tuk driver mentioning to me casually in Cambodia that the pandemic had ruined many families financially leaving several homeless and starving. I asked him to take me to them and I would help them out if they were in dire straits because I felt compelled to serve the community I had so frequently enjoyed thriving in.

He drove me to a community of homeless families living in a shanty town on the side of a road behind a Wat in Siem Reap, Cambodia. I went to visit one family in particular living under a tarp on top of wood pallets to do some outreach on my own but the money I gave them would only go so far. My first trip culminated in taking the family into town to procure a few month's worth of groceries, a water purifier so they won't go thirsty or get sick from drinking putrid water from the ponds and rivers, a mosquito deterrent, basic hygiene items, laundry detergent for hand washing clothes, and bicycles for the young boy and his sister so that they may travel to and from school which is too far to walk as well as a large cash donation to the mother. Upon seeing the state in which they live, a ramshackle collection of tarps and repurposed throwaways I couldn't help but cry and feel a great deal of sadness. No one should have to live this way, especially not such a lovely and kind family. There's a whole community of people living in this outskirts homeless camp and many of them are malnourished and struggling daily to survive, and this is happening all over the world. The money raised here will be used to purchase more food and baby formula, educational supplies for children, propane gas for cooking stoves, pots and pans to cook in, medical supplies/expenses, clothing, and building materials to help them improve their living structures as well as to provide electricity for their small community.

Please give what you can, even a few USD goes a long way toward helping families in situations such as these and if you can't give, it's free to spread the word and share the link to this GoFundMe and our instagram page. I will continue doing outreach with these wonderful people and many others across SE Asia because that's where I am regionally. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
