Gennello Support Squad

The Gennellos have been a Braemar Blaster staple for many years. All four of the Gennello kids, Monica, Matthew, Caroline, and Dominic, have been cornerstones for the team, swimming even into their high school years. Their parents, Tony and Christine, have dedicated hours of their time volunteering on deck and at the computer, working towards making the Braemar Blasters the great team they are today. It is this type of family that makes and keeps our swim team a force to be reckoned with and a familiar home for so many of our swimmers and kids. And just as with any family, you look out for each other in times of difficulty, and it is time for us to look out for the Gennellos.

Recently, Christine Gennello was diagnosed with a particularly aggressive form of cancer, Inflammatory Breast Cancer, which has spread to her liver, bone marrow, and outer lining of her lungs. The tolls this kind of diagnosis takes on a family are innumerable, physically, emotionally, mentally, and financially. We hope that through this site, some of that burden can be shared. Please consider contributing to this fund to help the Gennellos with financial worries, knowing that your support is aiding not only a fellow Blaster family, but an all-around fantastic group of people. Supporting one another when the road is rough makes the bonds that hold us together stronger and helps us all to grow.
