Gabby's Recovery

Gabrielle Rediger is a vibrant and loving mother, daughter, friend and all-around special person. On December 20th, 2013, Gabby became the mother of a beautiful baby girl named Skylar Marie. Skylar is a happy baby and is always a joy to be around. She brightens the day with her smile, just like her Mom.
One of Gabby's passions, other than her precious Skylar, is being a care provider. She has cared for several clients, including a student at Johnson County Community College who was confined to a wheel chair. Gabby took him to school and helped him take notes. Together they would watch movies, play games and simply hang out. Gabby’s kindness and compassion truly make her thrive in the care she provides.
It was only a week ago that her and her family's world was turned upside down. Gabby and Skylar were asleep at Gabby's boyfriend/Skylar's loving father's home when tragedy struck. Gun shots were fired into the apartment, hitting Gabby in the chest. It is a blessing that baby Skylar was not hit. The bullet that struck Gabby's chest did not exit and is still lodged in her body. Because of this, Gabby has a limited range of motion, which makes working difficult for her. To help recover, she is currently undergoing occupational therapy.
Luckily, Gabby is expected to recover 100 percent. Gabby and her family are trying to maintain a positive outlook about this tragic situation, but the incident is causing financial and emotional stress for Gabby and her family. They are greatly appreciative of any help given during this stressful time. Please note that all contributions made to this fundraising effort will be forwarded directly to Gabby's account.
