Dear friends and family,
I want to share with you a challenging ministry opportunity God has presented to me. Marking 100 years of Baptist work in Israel, on October 28-November 7, I will be going to Israel with Global Mission Project’s Celebration Orchestra lead by Camp Kirkland. GMP has partnered with thousands of musicians on hundreds of Music Mission Projects and is committed to leading Christian musicians in sharing Jesus Christ with the world, encouraging believers, and ministering to people through music. Our mission during our 11 day trip is as follows:
First, we will be allowing God to work in our lives through the personal enrichment that comes from this type of a mission trip.
Second, the Celebration Orchestra will perform in public settings to be a witness of the Christian faith. This is a great opportunity to minister to a broad audience of folks in a number of different congregations, churches, and other settings. Both believers and non-believers will be in attendance at such presentations.
Third, we will support GMP’s ongoing work in Israel by partnering, encouraging, and supporting local Christians.
I am excited about the opportunity and experience that lie ahead. I hope you see the value in what we will accomplish. As you can imagine, a trip like this requires financial support from a number of people. I need to raise $3,595 by October 21st. If you can support me financially, I would be very grateful. And, most importantly, I also need your prayer support. Prayer is the fuel that will allow us to be successful as we follow God’s leading in Israel. Without prayer, nothing will happen.
God is calling me into the ministry through music and I am already involved in several ministries. At my church, Judson Baptist, I serve in the orchestra every Sunday and in the youth band on Wednesdays. I’m also apart of the Nashville Praise Symphony which is an orchestra that performs benefit concerts for Christian organizations to bring awareness and funding to further their ministries. Another opportunity I’ve been presented with is playing in the worship band at the Hearts on Fire youth conference in Pigeon Forge, TN.
