On October 5th, Steve Smith suffered a heart attack and died. The details seem insignificant now.... except one.
Steve's death will have a significant impact on the family's financial future due to the loss of his income.
If he were magically given the ability to come back and utter just one sentence, it would be "make sure Cody is taken care of".
It is to that end that we have established this page. Steve was an extraordinary person... and an ordinary motion picture freelancer. He, like many of us in this business, was doing the best he could to make a living and save what he could.
Steve himself did not attend college. He regretted it and made it a priority that his son Cody "would".
In hopes of making that a reality, and to honor the memory of my brother Steve, we have established this page.
Hundreds of people have asked what they can do for the family. Your friendship, care and concern are enough... but if you would like to honor Steve, Monica and Cody by making a contribution to Cody's college education (he's 15), you can do that here as well as leave a note to the family.
We will acknowledge each and every donation... and I believe Steve will silently look over you.... and smile.
