Finem Respice: Full Production Cost

My name is Vickey Curtis. I am a spoken word artist from Dublin. I have been curating Come Rhyme With Me in association with OutHouse for the past five years. I have also written, produced and directed short plays for the International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival. I performed and co-devised Victor & Gord a documentary theatre piece exploring friendships. Victor & Gord was in Dubin Fringe and toured various festivals around Ireland. I also perform with the PETTYCASH collective and have written shows with them.
Since 2014 I have been developing a play called Finem Respice. I have presented it as a work in progress in January 2015 with THEATREClub's The Theatre Machine Will Turn You On and in February 2016 as part of Smock Alley's Scene & Heard Festival.
It's a play about grief, breavment and how death affects life. The play explores two major bereavements in my life. With Finem Respice I want to open up the converstation on how we deal with death and how we manage to get through it. I want to shine some light on the grieving process that we will all encounter at some stage.
I am raising money to bring my play Finem Respice to full production this coming September 2016.
Bringing Finem Respice to a full production has been a long journey. One that I have embarked on by myself. Now is the time to breathe more life into it and involve other professionals in my production such as a lighting, sound and set design. I need these funds to make Finem Respice the best it possibly can be.
The money will be used to for set design, lighting design and sound design. It will also be used help with promotional materials, posters, flyers, postcards, a videographer, and photographer.
In exchange for your hard earned cash I am going to be offering some rewards. Finem Respice is a very personal show and I thought I would make the rewards personal from me to you :)
We have until Sunday July 10th to raise the cash to help make Finem Respice the best possible show it can be.
It would mean the world to me and my crew if you could help fund Finem Respice.
