Debbie Filkins is a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and true friend to many.

A little background on Debbie if you don’t know her: She has been married to Dale for the past 25 years (and counting). Anyone that meets them knows that they were destined for each other and although they are great people separately, together they are amazing. They have two sons who they love dearly, Dale Jr. and Ryan. Debbie and Dale are also grandparents to two adorable grandchildren.


Dale and Debbie have always worked full time to support their family and have given generously of themselves to others, including their community as volunteer firefighters.

The Filkins family is like many others; they have worked very hard, raised respectful children, experienced love, experienced sadness, received and given back, and have had struggles they have overcome together. The struggle they face now is by far the most challenging. Unfortunately, Debbie was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. As most of you know, stage four cancer is very serious (and very scary). The last thing a family fighting for a loved one should have to worry about is money. Their two-income household has now shrunk to only one, which has created a financial hardship. Debbie has begun treatment, which will only add more bills to their financial load.
