Fighting for Kevan (KC)- Join Our Liver Team!

Hi, my name is Jennifer and I am raising money for my brother-in-law, Kevan Ward (KC), who has recently been diagnosed with late-stage liver failure and is awaiting a liver transplant at OHSU in Portland, Oregon. Last year was a big one for KC- in June he welcomed his beautiful daughter, Hazel, he turned 40 in October and in December received the tough diagnosis and learned that his body would not survive much longer without a new liver. Early in 2023, KC was readmitted to OHSU ICU with complications from his liver disease and has remained there. We have worked to keep up his spirits with pictures of his daughter and art from his niece and nephew, but we also know that the stress of his medical bills continues to weigh on him. We know that weeks in the ICU compiled with hundreds of tests, procedures and a liver transplant will not be inexpensive by any stretch of the imagination, so we ask for your help.

Last week we learned that KC has been placed on the national donor transplant list, so we wait. While we wait, we balance his body fighting against him with doctors who are working feverishly to keep his other organs and blood healthy enough to receive this liver when it arrives.

KC wants nothing more than a chance at life and the ability to watch Hazel grow into a happy and healthy young lady! Please help us to raise the money needed to eliminate stress on KC and to care for baby Hazel!
