Emergency Weekend Food Bank and Community Fridges

FUCA Food Heroes is a community based initiative, run by local Food Heroes. We aim to help alleviate the food poverty caused by the austerity of this government and provide easy access to food, without referral, through our pods.

Whilst our initial pods have received great support from their communities, the funds raised will plug gaps in supplies, as needed.

Currently we are running and opening, pods with Emergency Weekend Food Parcels. We are wanting to open community fridges in some locations. We've got the offers of surplus food waste, but fridges, insurance, liability and food safety courses for our Heroes need to be paid for.
