Emily's Going to Ghana

What is common among people? What about having less makes us happier? Is math really a universal language?

The answers to these questions are a few of the answers I am seeking with my study abroad trip to the University of Ghana in the Fall of 2016.

I am seeking funds to help with travel costs both to and from the USA and potentially within the continent of Africa.  Roughly $1,500 is needed for main travel and visa expenses.  Any extra earned will be used towards travel and exploration within Ghana and Africa.

I'm a first generation college student, a female in STEM, an explorer of cultures and a lover of people.

When I took my recent trip to the DR, I noticed that having it mostly funded by my friends and family motivated me to be hyper-aware and appreciative every day. Thank you all for creating that opportunity for me again.

I will leave on August 14th and return December 12th.
