Elizabeth's Fight

Elizabeth is a very sweet 21 month old baby. Shes very motivated, and nothing stops her.

Due to weakening and loss of mobility to her left side and decline in motor skills Elizabeth got a MRI done of her brain on March 22nd. On March 27th we got the results back from the MRI, her nerouligst told us she has a tumor in the thalamus of her brain Removing the tumor is not an option because of the location; removing the tumor can possibly paralyze her for life. Elizabeth had a biopsy done on April 2nd, the biopsy left Elizabeth more weak in her left side. She will be doing PT and OT once a week, to try and gain her mobility back in her left side, and not lose what she has. She will be starting Chemotherapy once a week, as it's the safest route to stop the tumor from growing. If she responds effectively to chemo this will be a lifetime issue to keep the tumor from spreading and growing. Elizabeth has a long road ahead of her. She gets all treatment done at OHSU Doernbechers Hospital, which is a drive for Holly and Hunter. Lodging, gas and expensise keep adding up.  Holly and Hunter need to focus on Elizabeth at this time, financially they should not need to worry.
