On Wednesday, October 14th, 2015 we lost a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Loren Adamek was working in the landscape industry and died from a massive heart attack in Spicer, MN. He leaves behind his wife, Bonita (Doering), his children Lora (Miller, 27), Carl (23) & Alex (15) along with his brothers Doug & Don Adamek and sister Arlys Kaiser and Karen Moe along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Loren Adamek left his children a valuable gift, his core values. It is his legacy and those values that guide the way they are going to continue to live their lives. Working hard was at the top of Loren’s list, which he did until the day he died. He was the head financial supporter of the family, with Carl still in college and Alex in high school.
We remember Loren as a simple man, but he was full of pride, with many people continuing to comment on his constant remarks about his children. Lora has already completed college and is working in Willmar at the family landscaping business, but Carl and Alex have much debt to be incurred in the coming years of college. Although Loren was a diligent worker, his financial planning was ignored, as he thought he would be around…well…forever!
College is already insanely expensive, with it sure to rise in the future. These funds will be directly distributed to the Adamek family, and with guidance from family and financial planners, will be put in a formal college savings account. (529 plan)
The family has already been overwhelmed by people’s gifts and support and if you have already contributed, THANK YOU!!! They are truly honored and humbled. Unfortunately, these gifts don’t even cover the funeral expenses. In the wake of tragedy and knowing how important a college education was to Loren and the entire family, please sprout something positive by donating to Carl & Alex’s college fund.
I would like to leave you with a line that was read at the funeral by our nephew, Eddie Kaiser. Loren Adamek. A man a few words. A man of few emotions. But a man who would give more than he would ever receive.
