Thailand\'s Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation said 253 people have been killed in the disaster, mostly from drowning, since a series of tropical storms began hitting Thailand at the end of July. It said 8 million people in 60 of the country\'s 77 provinces have been affected by floods and mudslides during that time, and 3 million acres (1.2 million hectares) of agricultural land have been damaged.
My name is Bo Changpriroa, I am a student at Georgetown University and Thai-American citizen. I have worked professional in Thailand for the last 7 years. Thailand has opened many doors of opportunities for me and has essentially shaped who I\'ve become today. This is my way of giving back to the Land of Smiles.
I created this page for those who live overseas and want to donate to help the situation in Thailand.
