Send me on a learning journey at the Island School

Hello friends and family! I’m raising money so that I can attend the Island School

The Island School is an intensive, life-changing, environmental sustainability and leadership program held on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas. The program is held over the summer for 6 weeks, and I would be doing things like studying marine ecology and sustainability; scuba diving; learning about local history; and meeting people from all over the country. I've been accepted into this very competitive program and have received financial aid, but the full cost is over $17,000, plus expenses, and it still requires a $9500 family contribution!

I was first introduced to the program by my brother and numerous friends who have attended. They described this program as a once-in-a-lifetime experience that gave them memories, bonds and life-skills that they will carry forever. The program almost single-handedly pushed my brother to find his passion as a marine biology student at Cornell University.

While my experience will be unique, I'm sure the Island School will help me blaze a path of personal growth and discovery.
