DAYSIA'S COLLEGE FUND
I need the help of family and friends! My name is Daysia Adams-Evans and I have been accepted to attend college at Clark Atlanta Univeristy (#CAU) to study MASS COMMUNICATIONS.
REASONS WHY I CHOSE CLARK ATLANTA UNIVERSITY:
When it came time to choosing what college I was going to go to I knew from jump that I wanted to attend an HBCU [Historical Black College/University].
Growing up in Alameda, I was curious to find out what exactly HBCU's had to offer. When I looked into Clark, I instantly wanted to find out more about the school from my own eyes.
For Spring Break, I had the awesome opportunity to fly out to Atlanta by myself for an Open House at Clark and I got to experience what being a student was like. I stayed on the campus with a friend/collegue of mine who currently attends with honors.
I was able to go to classes, witness step shows, events and even eat in the cafeteria. I saw Morehouse, Spelman and Morris Brown - all nearby HBCUs.
While being there, I witnessed how passionate the students were about the school. I saw them take advantage of leadership roles within the school and got to hear inspirational stories from students as well. Immediately, I saw myself too taking part in the HBCU experience at Clark and being able to apply myself in - not only my sudies - but also extracurricular activities and opportunities on campus as well.
I NEED YOUR HELP! My parents have done all they can do for the first semester. I need the help of my friends, family and friends of my parents!
Your donation to my campaign will allow me to continue my 3 goals for my first year:
1) Maintain a 4.0 GPA
2) Get involved in as many campus clubs as possible
3) Work hard finding scholarships and applying so that I can be set next year financially.
Here is my REPORT CARD from my Senior Year of High School. I maintained all A's throughout my Senior year! I'm so proud of myself. Through it all I persevered and finished high school off with a BANG!
I have received a partial-scholarship, a Federal Loan and much financial support from my parents, but I am still about $8,000 short for the year. I have a balance of only $4,500 to attend this semester - which is due immediately to Clark ATL University.
Please consider my future and how you can assist me in making a difference!
