The purpose of Dansville ArtWorks is to cultivate new and enhance existing visual, literary, and performing arts opportunities in the greater Dansville community. We are a 501(c)3 organization.
Throughout the year at our 178 Main Street space – the ONLY Main Street art gallery in Livingston County – Dansville ArtWorks presents approximately seven gallery exhibits, provides space for artists to consign their work, sells art supplies to support local residents' educational and personal needs, holds monthly networking mixers, offers many workshops as well as “teaching artist” opportunities each month, and hosts the annual Dansville Chalk Walk and ArtsFest. In addition, Dansville ArtWorks provides a student award and exhibition/performance opportunity for a graduating Dansville senior pursuing visual, performing, or literary arts. Also, Dansville ArtWorks was selected for the SUNY Geneseo Adopt-A-Business program designed to improve social media in small businesses, and once again, we are the recipients of a NYS Council for the Arts grant for Dansville Chalk Walk and ArtsFest! In the next 12 months, Dansville ArtWorks would like to strengthen and expand these exciting activities with your support.
Dansville ArtWorks relies on sponsors to continue our mission to cultivate and enhance the visual, literary, and performing arts opportunities in the greater Dansville community. By not using a traditional membership structure, Dansville ArtWorks provides wider access to the aforementioned workshops, exhibition opportunities, and events, but it limits our fundraising to generous individuals and businesses like you.
