Kennel mates and friends, Daisy and Butter need rescue for different reasons:
Daisy is officially our longest term resident here at Animal Care. She arrived as a stray on July 27, meaning she has been kenneled for almost 24 hours a day, for the last 76 days. Even though she is 3 years old, she still acts like a puppy and this energetic youngster is not living the life she should be. Rather than running around in a back yard and playing fetch with the kids, Daisy is learning to live with the constant highs and lows of the public’s attention. Up and down all day long, with very little release for her pent-up energy, Daisy is ripe to finally find a home and family of her own- one that loves and cares for her as she will for them.
Butter only “just” arrived at Animal Care on September 25. He was owner surrendered due to a move. Originally adopted as a younger puppy, Butter is still only 7 months old but he is already becoming quite cage crazy in his 2 weeks here at Animal Care, already rubbing his nose raw in his kennel. Though he gets along great with his kennel mate Daisy (and other dogs too according to his Owner Surrender form), Butter is a very excitable young man and needs more exercise than long days in his kennel will allow. Rather than let his behavior continue to deteriorate until he can’t easily be helped, we are looking for a caring rescue to step in and try to find Butter a new home NOW. Days in a kennel do not agree with Butter so he needs to be in a home environment- where he can get the attention and affection he needs to thrive.
