Healing Henna Non-Profit

Donation protected
Healing Henna was first inspired when Henna Artist Amanda Gilbert started volunteering her time in the spring of 2016 at Beautiful You by Profile Salon , providing natural/homemade, lavender infused henna tattoos to women who are undergoing hairloss due to the side effects of chemotherapy.

As a henna artist, Amanda recognized the meditative and healing properties that henna had while it was being applied to the skin.  She began dreaming of a way she could use her passion of henna art to bring therapeutic healing, beauty and courage to women undergoing cancer treatments.

It's not just a physical battle these women go through, it’s also mental, emotional and a spiritual one. Rarely shared in public, most often these battles are fought behind closed doors, in many ways feeling alone. The impact of hair loss, is an additional pain to the already intense physiological changes of chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

The goal of creating Healing Henna as a non profit is to not only connect chemo patients with local artists (Henna artists, videographers photographers and makeup artists) in their area for their crown experience, but to also create an online support system where women can share their stories with others around the world who are walking the same path.

The paperwork process in creating Healing Henna has already begun! Creating a non-profit can be very costly.
