Our darling sister first experienced the devastating impact of cancer in 2017. She fought it hard and with absolutely determination and documented her battle in her blog http://noflowersforme.weebly.com/#
Sadly the cancer returned in September 2020, however again her positivity shone through and thanks to the amazing work of the NHS in Fife, Edinburgh and Dundee, we were relieved to have an 'all clear' scan in December with a 12 months immune therapy plan in place.
Unfortunately in early February Creina experienced severe back pain and loss of feeling. A subsequent scan showed that the cancer had spread to the spine causing compression on the spinal column.
An emergency operation took place within days, however it has not been a success. The tumour has grown back in the original site and another tumour has appeared higher up on her spine. She has no feeling from her chest down. The scan also identified that the cancer has spread to her lungs and liver.
Creina is currently receiving radiation at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh and we are hoping that this will reduce the size of the tumour so she can return home to her family in Dunfermline. In the meantime, Creina will be moved to a hospice in Kirkcaldy so she can continue to get the best care possible.
We are aware so many people want to help, so to facilitate this we are setting up this GoFund me page to help Creina and Ross and go towards funeral costs when this is required.
In Covid times we can't physically get together. We can however show our love and support by donating to this GoFund me page. What you give will go directly to Creina, Ross and the boys and help them worry less and allow them the opportunity to create precious family memories of fun times together.
