Hello, my name is Collin Cowart and I am the Philanthropy Chair of FarmHouse Fraternity at Troy University in Troy, Alabama.
As fraternity men, we set ourselves to high standards. We strive to be Builders of Men and seek to improve ourselves and others: Spiritually, Morally, Socially, Physically, and Intellectually. Part of being a Builder of Men is giving back, and one of the largest ways we give back is our philanthropy. This year I have been tasked with organizing our largest philanthropy, Crawfish Boil.
Crawfish Boil is the largest single-day philanthropy hosted at Troy University. All proceeds will go to our sponsored philanthropy, the Leukemia and Lymphoma society. We all have had personal experiences with cancer through friends, family or aquaintances, and it is FarmHouse's goal is to a give a contribution towards the research for better treatment and hopefully a cure to Leukemia and Lymphoma.
Last year we were able to donate more than $6,000 dollars towards the cure. This year we want to raise the bar and exceed $6,000 dollars, but we need your help!
In order to make this the biggest Crawfish Boil yet, we are looking to purchase 1,500 lbs. of crawfish and crawfish does not run cheap. We also would use proceeds to buy sausage, potatoes, shrimp and all the other foods you look for in a Cajun boil!
I am humbly asking that you donate whatever amount you feel capable of giving to help us buy these supplies. Any donation amount helps and is greatly appreciated. Everyone is affected by cancer in one way or another so please help us fight and find a cure! Thank you, we genuinely appreciate your donation.
