The Starchasers are flying against hunger this holiday season and you can help!
Last year, the New Bedford Starchasers "Operation Cranksgiving" collected over 130 lbs of food for the United Way of Greater New Bedford's "Hunger Heroes Project". Imagine what we could do with you on our side. We truly appreciate you and believe that together we can make a difference!
On November 14th, the New Bedford Starchasers will launch "Operation Cranksgiving" - part food-drive, part bicycle ride scavenger hunt, and all for a good cause! All donations will be used to purchase food and other much needed items for families in need this holiday season.
All you need is bike, a bag, a lock, and some money to buy your donation. Otherwise, this event is free, open to the public, and cosmically inclusive. All people-powered and assistive vehicles are welcome!
Founded in 2012, The New Bedford Starchasers are a multicultural, trans-dimensional, and inter-galactic collective of sci-fi nerds, cyclists, and makers. We host a series of monthly community bicycle rides, collect donations for people in need, and strive to be a superhero version of ourselves!
