COVID19 Relief (San Augustin Elementary Students)

The Neighbors in Reach Service Project is a student led platform that provides assistance and public health education towards medically insecure communities. The COVID-19 pandemic has emphasized the global dilemma of health care insecurity with third-world countries facing serval spikes in their COVID-19 cases.

Since the Philippines has been experiencing the longest lockdown in South East Asia, our team reached out to local communities affected by COVID-19. With the help of Ms. Rosalina Montoya's (SAES Principal), and her faculty, we aim to provide medical, educational and food supplies to selected students and their families of San Augustine Elementary School in the Santa Ana district of Pampanga, Philippines. For this, San Augustin Elementary has given us permission in helping them fundraise for their students. 

Our team understand the daily struggles impoverish communities presently face with finding ends meet of feeding and supporting their families. Especially when the lockdown regulations have cost a number of these impoverish communities to lose their only means of occupation. More so, we empathize with student's struggles of continuing education given that their families are already dealing with these financial and medical issues.

Hence our team is reaching out to fellow students, peers, and community members to be a neighbor and help us provide relief goods and assistance. We also hope to provide this community public health education alongside with the donations, as disease control and prevention is only effective when it reaches out every single member of a community.
