Cork Penny Dinners Annual Christmas Fast 2020

It’s another run into the Christmas period, and in aid of Cork Penny Dinners this Christmas myself, Hugh , my wife Liz and daughter Megan will be doing a Christmas Eve fast from 12 noon on Christmas Eve to 12 noon on Christmas Day.  Last year we shipped four very large loads of food and clothing into the charity and raised a large amount of money. 

We’re looking for your help again to try and raise much needed funds for Cork Penny Dinners, a charity that provides hot meals to the homeless people of Cork and those who don’t have access to food. Caitriona Twomey, who runs Cork Penny Dinners has asked for nonperishables and also clean warm clothing including hats/scarfs and gloves. We’ve gotten hams, turkeys and hampers previously so if you’re away or have extra food, they’ll gladly take those as well.  Cork Penny Dinners is very grateful for every food drop, volunteer and donation, so please help us support this very worthy local charity again this year considering the extra challenges present due to the ongoing pandemic.

All monies collected will go directly to Cork Penny Dinners. 

Caitriona and the volunteers are a credit to the people of Cork, so hopefully we can raise as much as possible for a worthy cause.
