#CommunityAgainstCOVID
Hello! We are Suvir and Somin Virmani, a 7th grader at Doherty Middle School (Suvir) in Andover, and a 10th grader at Phillips Academy Andover (Somin). We recently communicated with Ken Campbell from Lazarus House who informed us of the strains put on our communities by COVID-19. Covid has stopped many important food drives and donations from taking place in schools and restaurants. As a result, Lazarus House has a shrinking pantry with more people to support.
To show how much Lazarus House helps, let's look at the numbers. They help support over 740 families a week, and their figures are predicted to rise. Lazarus House's contributions to our community are and have been significant. Now, it's our turn as a community to give back and help Lazarus continue supporting those in need.
There are a few ways you can help! To start, you can donate to this Go Fund Me page itself - all donations go straight to Lazarus House. Another option is to contribute food items. We will be doing weekly rounds in Andover/N. Andover and neighboring towns, collecting non-perishables door-to-door and delivering to Lazarus House once a week. Your contribution will make a difference, regardless of how much you are able to give. Please text us at [phone redacted] or [phone redacted] to coordinate a pickup time.
