The Sight of Hope: Helping Visually Impaired PWDs

How far can your $50 go? Ten visits to Starbucks to buy your favorite cup? A nice cute dress from target? A nice bottle of wine, or a trip to the movies with a friend.

For the blind masseuse of Apas, Cebu City, and their families, $50 is enough to buy them food for a month, basic toiletries, a few vitamins, and medicines. Skipping the movies could help you feed a hungry child for a month. Ditching Starbucks for a week can buy medicines for a blind masseuse who lost their job. Your $50 can go a long way and change the lives of the PWDs of Apas, Cebu City, Philippines.


We’re raising money to help a group of visually impaired massage therapists from the Philippines and their families who are struggling to make ends meet because of the pandemic. 
 
This is a difficult time for everyone but this is especially hard for the PWD community in the Philippines. A group of visually impaired massage therapists based in Cebu City has lost their livelihood due to the lockdown protocols in place. 



Help us ease their burden in these difficult times. Let us make them feel there is still hope despite the uncertainty.   Proceeds will be allocated for food, daily necessities, medicines, and financial support.

We are reaching out to you for support. Any amount for their community will be greatly appreciated.  Our goal is to raise $6,300 for 126 families. This is a month’s worth of sustainability and sustenance. Proceeds consist of grocery supplies as well as medicines for the community of visually impaired massage therapists and their families located in Barangay Apas, Lahug, Cebu City.
