Colin Geller Eagle Scout Project
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Colin Geller and I am a Boy Scout with Troop 125 in Wellington, Florida.
I have been involved with Scouting since the 5th grade and have had some incredible opportunities to do the things that helped shape and develop me into the person that I am today.
I am currently working on my Eagle Scout rank, the most prestigious award in Scouting. One of the requirments to earn Eagle Scout rank is to demonstrate leadership and management skills while completing a community service project. The project that I have chosen allows me to meet that requirment while combining my interest in Agriculture.
I will be building a wheelchair accessible adaptive garden at the Palm Beach County Therapeutic Recreation Complex that will allow individuals with special needs to grow and cultivate their own vegetables and herbs. As a further part of the rehabilitation program, participants will be able to use the vegetables that are grown as part of their cooking therapy and education.
And finally, I will be incorporating a butterfly garden for staff and guests to enjoy throughout the day.
I appreciate all your support and any financial contribution that you can offer. Your donations will be used to purchase supplies, plants, mulch, soil, paint and other necessities to complete this project.
Yours in Scouting,
Colin
