Clothes for the kids of Baltimore

Donation protected
Very early on in our relationship Lisa and I were having a discussion about humanity. The conversation was prompted as a result of one too many tragedies we had discovered together on the news....the tragedy of the Boston Marathon this past year. I remember simply repeating, "I haven't lost my faith in humanity; but we humans are capable of so much more! (Continuing on my rant...) Why aren't we bringing teachings of internal peace, sharing with our neighbors, and building foundations of happiness into the world? There are so many individuals, families and communities out there teaching positive messages about the other...."
Well Lisa looked me square in the eye and said, "So do something about it!" Needless to say that had an impact on me. As our conversion developed through the days, weeks and months regarding this perplexing shared yet unresolved narrative we finally arrived at a crossroads, a light bulb if you will. We must act!
I have always cared about the youth, and am incredibly passionate about my birth place, Charm City Baltimore! Seeing as though there have been so many tragedies around us strike at our youth, it became clear that the youth was exactly what we would focus our energy on.
Our target goal is to raise $2,500.00 before the New Year. This money will be used to purchase new clothes and diapers for children in the Baltimore area less fortunate than most. We will be working with local shelters and religious organizations to help distribute the clothing and diapers that we purchase with the collective funds. 100% of your donations will go directly to the cause. Our hope is that we can turn this small project we are titling "Mitzvah Me Baltimore" into something that will bring greater good to our community.
We will also be posting polls on Facebook for your help in choosing some of the clothing we will pick out throughout the project to add some fun and interaction with the donors. There will be a small service fee charged for using the online payment site. This cost is to ensure that donations and payments will be secure. Please message Lisa or I if you have any questions or would like to help in any way. Time is a valuable entity as well. If you/your partner/your family/your children/your community are super enthusiastic about this we will also be accepting volunteers. Please contact us immediately so we can put you to work!
