Hello and welcome to my gofundme site. My name is Cathy Ligeski and by the grace of God I am embarking on a year-long mission from July 2016-August 2017 to volunteer as a Nurse in Honduras and I need your help! I am raising money to help cover the costs of my travel, vaccinations and basic living expenses for my upcoming year of service.
I am partnering with a Christian international missions organization called Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos {NPH} which in English means "Our Little Brothers and Sisters." NPH nurtures over 3000 orphaned and vulnerable children in a loving, stable, secure family environment. NPH invites volunteers from all over the world to come and serve in their 9 homes across Central America and participate in the growth and mentorship of their kids.
At NPH, I will serve as a nurse in their internal clinic providing quality healthcare to all of the children of NPH and also work in their external clinic to provide medical care to the people in the surrounding impoverished community.
I want to work with the children at NPH because they have inspiring strength, resiliency and love that are life changing with every encounter. Children possess the power of true joy and hope that our world desperately needs. I believe God is calling me to work with these kids to encourage the next generation to bring the light and love of Christ more abundantly into our world.
As a volunteer I expect to gain a greater glimpse of the face of Christ in the children I serve. Children in a special way reflect God's presence on earth. I know that through this experience I will be challenged to work hard, to go outside my comfort zones, to give until it hurts and love without measure but by giving of myself; I will gain a new family, a new home and a deeper encounter with the person of Jesus through each child I encounter
This is an open invitation for anyone who wants to partner with me to extend unconditional love to the kids at NPH. I realize that this amount of $2500 is quite large, but a donation of $5, $10, or even $20 dollars makes all the difference, and any amount that you might be able to give would be greatly appreciated. My goal is to have most of my fundraising done by May 27th before I leave for training in Honduras in June. I believe and trust in God and his promise to provide. If a monetary donation is not be possible for you, I just ask for your support through prayer.
All extra donations will be given to NPH directly to transform the lives of countless children. Thank you all for your support in advance!
