cRandy's In A Crunch

I am going to be on my own without employment or any source of income by the end of the month. I am job hunting like mad and I know it won’t be long before I’m employed, but it will not be in time to pay rent or utilities, let alone buy food and other necessities. I need help getting through this troubling time and without family, I don’t know where else to turn.

Four years ago, I was diagnosed with cancer (turned out to be an aggressive Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma) and my life got pretty well destroyed in short order. Of course, all my savings and money were gone instantly, I lost my job, I had to stop going to school, and the treatments made my kidneys stop functioning for a while (among many, many other nasty side effects).

The worst thing of all was that my entire family stopped talking to or seeing me as soon as my treatment began. I may as well have died in their eyes. I still don’t know why and I’m past needing to know. I lost nearly all of my friends, who also stopped talking to me once my treatments began, and now my social life is entirely online (which isn’t so bad because I met some amazing people).

Through all this, my fiancée stuck by me and helped take care of me. But a year of intense treatments, and the years after not being much better, took their toll on our relationship. So she is leaving me at the end of the month. She got a nice little place right next to her mother, which is great. I am absolutely devastated and heart-broken but I can’t really blame her. (So if you know her, don’t be mean, she didn’t do anything wrong)

If anyone is in Central Ohio and has a spare bed (for a large man) or even just a mattress, I can use one. I’m only going to have two chairs for furniture, so a bed would be great to sleep on, even if it’s just a mattress on the floor.
