Camp Erin NYC

This past summer, we had the privilege of participating in the 1st annual Camp Erin NYC hosted at our very own Camp Wayne. It's a free, weekend long grief support camp designed to help children and teenagers ages 6-17, who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling or someone close to them. 

Those of you who know us understand just how much camp means to us. We met at Camp Wayne in 1998, grew up there, and now look back to reflect on the amazing memories we've had at camp together. Being able to share this special place with kids who have endured loss is something we feel super passionate about. We walked away from Camp Erin last summer inspired by the kids' stories and strength, and their personal growth over the course of just one weekend was amazing to watch. It was a life changing experience for the kids, just as camp was for us.

We're asking for your help in raising money for this year's Camp Erin - it's a weekend that's near and dear to our hearts. We hope that with your support we can continue to help change the lives of kids through the camp experience.

Camp Erin combines traditional fun camp activities with grief education and emotional support, facilitated by grief professionals and trained volunteers. Through interactions with other children and adults, campers learn that they are not alone in their grief. Camp Erin provides a relaxed, safe and supportive setting for children to express emotions, share their grief and learn positive coping skills.

The COPE Foundation, a non-profit grief and healing organization dedicated to helping parents and families living with the loss of a child, has partnered with The Moyer Foundation, to sponsor the New York affiliate of Camp Erin.
