Caerwynn's Medical Needs

My name is JP Eastridge. My wife is Caerwynn DuGua-DeMonts. We have lived throughout Kentucky over the past 25 years (Louisville, Central Kentucky, and now Covington, in Northern Kentucky). Many people may know me as The Wine Geek, for my time working with several retailers in Louisville and Florence.

My wife and I have been in three different car wrecks over the years (hit by a drunk driver-1992, rear-ended by an inattentive driver on a cell phone-2000, blackout from pain into a utility pole-2009). I have tried to take care of her medical needs, but every year, insurance is more expensive and yet pays for even less.

I'm at a breaking point; Caerwynn receives treatment every three months due to the spine injuries that we pay $700 each time. Her medications cost $450-$700 each month, depending on which ones we do or don't fill. Insurance will cost $12,000 a year for her next year.

I've been able to pay for that up to this point, but I've hit a wall. The facility that treats for the spine injuries now wants the $7800 we still owe from insurance deductibles from 2014 and early 2015. The doctor that does the procedure, we still owe $1600 from the same period. Caerwynn has been without the procedure she needs since October, and is in excrutiating pain. She can barely walk the 15 feet from our bedroom to the bathroom. She's never without pain, but this level is unbearable.

What we are looking for is very specific: $7299.41 to settle the balance, allowing Caerwynn to get the treatments to control the pain, and $2690.00 for an EZ Lite Cruiser powered wheelchair to give her better mobility.

I think I can handle everything else that comes at us, but this is what she needs that I can't cover.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will update this campaign monthly as to Caerwynn's progress and improvements.
