CASD Autism Awareness Walk

The CASD Autism Walk will be held on April 2nd, National Autism Awareness Day.   The Walk will be held at the Chambersburg Area Senior High School Edwin Sponseller Track and Field Complex.  The goal for this event is to raise community awareness and support local students with autism and their families.  All funds raised during the walk will directly support the CASD autism support classrooms as well as students with autism attending CASD.  This year’s funds will be utilized to provide additional training opportunities for teachers in the area of autism, to provide experiential learning opportunities for our students with autism in the form of swim lessons and other adaptive therapy sessions, as well as organization of disability awareness assemblies. 

The CASD Autism Walk is sponsored by the Chambersburg Area School District Foundation.  The Foundation is a non-profit, charitable foundation under IRS 501 (c) 3 guidelines, which permits all gifts to be tax exempt as eligible by law.
