Bringing Nati Home

Donation protected
I am raising money for the Collins family to bring home their son Nati from Ethiopia. As many of you know Nati is the 12 year old boy that Shannon and Macall met on their mission trip back in June. God has moved mountains for Nati to be coming to the United States this fall on a school visa. I can't tell you how many summer nights Shannon and I conversed about Nati and his circumstances. He clearly needs a family and the Collins knew that God was calling them to such a time as this. When Nati and Shannon first met he confided in her about his life as a street kid and also told her about his love for the Lord. Sweet Nati told Shannon how he would cry out to God and pray for someone to come along and help him. I wept when Shannon recounted the story of him saying to her "When I met you, you answered my prayer." Nati is currently residing in a group home called Hope for the Hopeless. This past week things started to move very quickly with the paperwork and Shannon will be traveling in 4-6 weeks to bring him home to Charlotte. Nati, upon hearing that he was accepted on a school visa told his mom (He has been calling her mom since she left in Ethiopia in June) that he was going to church to thank God for answering his prayers. There was no hesitation. No second guessing. He just went. Just like the Collins are doing. They are just going to bring him home. No second guessing. How many of us would just stop and go when called? One of my life mottos is "If you aren't going, you need to be helping those go". With that said I am helping them "Go"! Will you join me? All money raised will be used to offset their travel expenses.

Here are two ways you can help Nati:

1. You can prayfully consider any donation amount. (Yes this may mean giving up your afternoon Starbuck's run one day!)

or

2. For those Christmas shopping early here is the 2nd way to help. I have set up a link for the month of October for the Collins. All proceeds will go to them. Just click on the link. http://www.stelladot.com/ts/q2zt5

One final piece of information - this is all a surprise for the Collins! I have spoken with Shannon many times on the matter and finances are always a huge burden for any adoptive family. I know they will greatly appreciate their friends' prayers and efforts. I plan on closing this website on November 1st so if you plan on donating or shopping, please plan accordingly. I will be giving her a card on Orphan Sunday, November 3rd with the amount we raised and I will include the signatures of her friends.

Please don't hesitate to e-mail me at [email redacted]
