Hi,
My name is Brad. I'm the father of an exceptional 6-year old boy that loves football, Legos, Hot Wheels, riding bikes, and everything else that you could imagine a little boy to be into. I'm writing this to ask you to help me keep my wonderful son in my life.
While gender equality has advanced greatly in nearly all aspects of society, a majority of fathers are still left without an equal footing in child custody matters. The state of Arizona has made tremendous strides in giving fathers a fair shake in these matters. Unfortunately, for dads like me it has come as too little, too late. That is because my case started prior to the latest pushes for equality. My case already had a precedent established. Rather than starting out as equals, I was originally only given the opportunity to see my son for about 18 hours a week. As a 28 year old man with no record, besides that of exemplary service in the military, I have been forced to spend thousands of dollars to try to regain my natural rights as a father. I have essentially been totally disregarded as a parent, and I am fighting to take those rights back. I am within reach, and need a little help to finish this monumental undertaking.
If you already know me, then you are probably aware of the struggles that I'm going through with funding my court proceedings. If you don't know me, then you should know that I been on a 6-year climb to get my son the stability that a young child needs during their developmental years. Prior to starting kindergarten, Tyler had 10 addresses at his "other house", 5 of which occurred in a period of 14 months.
Despite all of the retaliatory actions taken against my wife and I, we have only pursued what is best for both of our children. We have made every sacrifice possible to see this endeavor through on our own. Unfortunately, We have maxed out our resources, and in order to continue moving forward I have to raise an additional $6,000 for a court appointed evaluator's retainer renewal. This evaluator is a clinical psychologist tasked with reviewing all aspects of our case. Following review, she will make a recommendation to our judge.
I'm pleading to everyone that knows me to help my cause. If you don't know me, and you have any reservations about my claims, I'd be happy to answer any, and all questions that you may have. I can also provide an anonymous version of a 300-page document set (my entire case).
I'm not asking anyone to donate money that would cause a hardship. I'm only ask that you donate what you can. If you have $10, or $20 that you could put towards a good cause, then I implore you to help me allow a professional to decide what is best for my son.
