Bring Baby Briceton's Bounce Back
Donation protected
Our little man, Briceton Thayer Hall, recently discovered that he has been living the first 7 months of his life with Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return (TAPVR). This has caused his lungs and heart to be working in overdrive throughout the first half year of his life. TAPVR is a rare congenital malformation and has required open-heart surgery for Briceton. Now that the surgery is over (was completed on December 22nd), there is a month long recovery for Briceton before he can return home to his toys, dogs and books. Briceton will spend his first Christmas in the ICU.
This process is going to require weeks of not being able to work and a great deal of transportation and incurred costs. Briceton is in great hands here in Charlotte, 30 miles from our home. Levine Children's Hospital is providing amazing support and has accomodated our every need.
The funds we are asking for will help with medical costs, living expenses, and transportation. This is coming at a terrible time of the year and we are seeking support from our community and those able to contribute to Briceton's recovery.
Here is a general list of the expenses we are currently faced with:
- $7k for medical expenses
- $5k for mortgage, insurance, and miscellaneous bills
- $2k for transportation
The challenge for us is that not working and not having any income is not sustainable. We have to be there for Briceton in mind and body. Therefore, not having this financial cloud hanging over our heads will alleviate some of the stress around how to afford Briceton's recovery.
Every little bit helps. Thank you all!
