Yesterday morning, September 3, 2019, Brandon Pinson, beloved husband to Samantha, father and best buddy to his two sons, died while defusing a landmine in Iraq. He was 31 years old. Brandon worked for FSD, a Geneva based humanitarian non-profit who works for a safer future by removing land mines and explosive remnants of war so that families can return safely to their villages.
Brandon was on his last assignment in Iraq. He had plans to move to Vermont, join the police academy there, grow food, and grow his family. Samantha is a student midwife, and was planning to live a long, healthy, happy life with Brandon and their children.
Samantha and the boys were everything to Brandon. I could tell as soon as I walked in their door how supportive, strong, and gentle he is. I was their midwife for their second birth. I want to support them in any way I can, so I a made this fundraiser. If you can contribute, please do.
