Help Blossom Baby Bank Help Families In Need

Hello! Thank you for taking a moment to read about Blossom Baby Bank

My name is Elizabeth Jeffs and I have recently set up a small baby bank, providing items from children’s clothing, nursing and maternity wear and other essentials to self care packs, books, toys and learning aids, to families in need in Kirklees.

In under a week, we have organised a temporary home for Blossom, started receiving donations and begun to find families and parents who need our help locally.

We do however now need some help organising and disturbing the items. We need to purchase;
- clothing rails
- coat hangers 
- storage boxes 
- an outside container / shed for extra storage space 
- label maker
- more cleaning products

We also aim to be able to contribute towards volunteer fuel costs once we are able to begin collections of donations and distribution of goods to individuals and organisations. 

I’m not one for asking for help usually, but after a year of only working part time I’m simply unable to fully fund Blossom alone. We are applying for and awaiting formal funding however to kick start Blossom, we are asking for your help. A small donation could provide us with the coat hangers we need, or the cleaning products we need to operate safely. A few small donations together could be our clothing rails, the start of our shed fund or a label maker to make sure items are marked correctly,  helping us to make sure children and families get exactly what they need as quickly as possible.

Thank you so much for taking the time to  read this. I don’t have kids myself, but I know that for a lot of parents right now things are harder than ever. But together, as a community, we can ease that strain on people and ensure that every child is provided for.
After all, it takes a village to raise a child.
