A Message from Emily, Owners' Daughter of Best Donuts:
My parents, Seng & Yin, opened Best Donuts in 1989 with the dream of running their own business in America. My mother, the youngest of six, grew up during the food rationing era of China and remembers sharing a pastry with her five older brothers. And my father, a Cambodian refugee, began his career in the food industry as a busboy in Chinatown, Manhattan. There is nothing they love more than sharing their donuts and pastry with others! The mom & pop donut shop has been my parent's whole life (some would say even more important than their only daughter...) As many of our neighbors know, Best Donuts is opened 7 days a week, 365 days a year from 5am to 5pm. They love serving the Santa Clara community with their freshly baked glazed old-fashion, applefritter, and chocolate bar with custard. Together, they have sold over 5 million donuts throughout their career. And they plan to sell many many more!
Since COVID19 and the mandated stay at home orders, Best Donuts has been closed since mid-March. We are preparing to re-open the store soon for take out and need our community's support to be back up and running. We have no intention of raising our prices (glaze donut $1.25 and cinnamon rolls $2.00) as the majority of our clientele are students, blue-collar workers, and small business professionals. We appreciate any support possible and look forward to continuing to serve our community!!!
