Healing Haiti - Oct 2014

Next month (October 20-27) I will be going on a mission trip to the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere — Haiti. I hope to make a small difference in the life of the Haitian people, to give all that I have in my heart, and to have it refilled many times over with the joy and love that I will find in the people I meet.
While in Haiti, I will have the opportunity to:
• Deliver clean WATER to families living in Cite Soliel
• Distribute FOOD to those in need
• Vist SICK and DYING at Mother Teresa Missionaries of Charity
• Play with kids at an ORPHANAGE
• Visit SCHOOLS
• Bring needed SUPPLIES (list of specific items is below)

As you can imagine, raising support is sometimes difficult, but I know that it will be worth the effort and will make a difference in so many lives. The total cost of the trip is $1500 (this amount pays for airfare and in-country costs, along with my two suitcases of much-needed items to distribute). I am writing to you to ask for your HELP - here are FOUR ways you can join me in this mission:
1) Financial support: If you are able to donate financially, great! Gifts to Healing Haiti, designated for my trip expenses, are tax deductible. If I am unable to participate in the trip, your gifts are still tax deductible and will be used to support the mission.
2) Donate $$ for specific items: If you prefer to donate real items, I am including in the wish list the specific items that our group has been asked to bring so you can choose exactly what your donation goes towards and help fill my suitcases!
3) Donate real items: If you have new or like-new items on the wish list that you would like to donate, let me know. Items are for children 4-17 years old.
4) If you are unable to give monetarily at this time, I completely understand! We can also use PRAYERS for a safe and productive mission.
