Hi, I have set this page up for my brother and sister-in-law, Dustin and Brittney Dexter, to help them raise money for IVF treatments in order to bring Baby Dexter into this world. When Dustin and Brittney got married, they had their path laid out, and that included starting a family. Their journey has been an emotional one, but we are hopeful that they will be able to start their family soon. We as a family want to do anything we can to help Dustin and Brittney get the family they both have longed for. We will be having a Garage Sale within the next couple of weeks, as well as other events to raise money (details coming soon). Their story:
Dustin and I began dating in 2007. I knew immediately that this was the person I would spend the rest of my life with. We got married in 2011 and shortly after, we decided to try to grow our little family. After being unsuccessful month after month, I decided to consult a doctor. The doctor gave me some medication and seemed very positive that it would help. After the first month, we got the exciting news that the medication was working. However, we were still unsuccessful in getting pregnant. After a few months, we were referred to a fertility doctor. The doctor was very positive and told us all that we needed to do, none of which was covered by insurance. We decided to go through with it, hoping this would all lead to us having a family. After a lot of money and doctor's appointments, we got the news we had been dreading. We both had infertility issues and only a 1-3% chance of getting pregnant. The only option we had was IVF treatments, which would cost $18,000. We were both devastated when we found out the cost of the treatments. However, after the shock wore off, we decided we would find a way to start our family.
We are more than ready to start this commitment, and we have the dedication it takes to go through this process. We are dedicated to saving every last dime that we can. We also have an amazing family that is helping as well. Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
