Loving Homes for Foster Children
I need your help! We have successfully completed the requirements by the state of Pennsylvania to open our home for 6 teenage youth girls in care.
The youth we are serving have demonstrated a history of emotional trauma, family conflict, loss or difficulties in the community. Our program addresses the physical, social, educational and emotional needs of youth so that they can become productive members of society.
Our home will provide a small neighborhood-based family-style environment for youth. We will combine the support, guidance and services traditionally provided by larger congregate care homes while also providing the love, support and comfort of an individual family living home. The house-parent model will be the cornerstone of providing our youth with the love, consistency and support that they desperately need and deserve.
Our next goal is to open up our second home for 6 teen youth boys by July 2016. In order to reach this goal, we must raise a total of $50,000 May 2016. These funds will be used to provide housing, food, clothing, transportation, school supplies and toiletries as well as therapuetic services for our youth.
