Austin King Fund

Donation protected
In December 2014, Austin King, 19 years old, was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Hodgkin's Lymphoma is a cancer that affects the body's lymphatic system, part of the immune system. Because the cancer develops in the immune system, the body is compromised trying to fight the disease. However, most cases of Hodgkin's Lymphoma have a high remission rate following chemotherapy or radition treatments.

Austin is a sophomore at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. Austin is a second year player on the Marist Ice Hockey team. Austin competitvely played hockey throughout high school and went on to play junior hockey for the Brewster Bulldogs before enrolling at Marist College in 2013. Austin is pursuing a degree in Accounting.

On Saturday, January 31st, the Marist Ice Hockey team will be playing a game to raise money for Austin and his medical expenses. At the game, there will be several in-game promotions and events to help raise money. The game will be played at 4:15pm at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, New York.

This page has been set up by the Marist Ice Hockey team to further help raise funds for our teammate Austin and his family as he fights through his sickness.
