Heaven Has Gained Another Angel

My name is Anthony Hersey and a little over a year ago I was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Never in a million years would I have thought that I would've gotten that type of news. I knew from that point in my life, it was time to put on my boxing gloves and fight this disease. I knew that I could not let this defeat me. I had only heard of chemotherapy and cancer, but was never really sure of what it actually was, until I had to go through it myself. I remember as a child, my mother telling me and my four sibling to "always stay strong". She taught us to always keep God first, and she worked hard to make sure that we had everything that we needed. My mother died in 2003, the summer before my 16th birthday, and at that moment, I promised her and myself that I would always stay strong. For her, for me, and for my family. Now that I am facing this battle, I can hear my mother's words telling me to stay strong, so I continue to fight. I currently reside in Riverview, FL with my fiance, whom I've known since the age of 8, and she has been by my side every step of the way, along with family and friends. After 4 treatments of chemotherapy, all cancer was gone and I was in remission. However, 6 weeks later, it had come back. This caused a lot of distress on me and my family. About 3 months ago, I was quoted that I should nearly be ready for a bone marrow transplant at this time in my cancer journey, but it seems as if things are coming to a halt. Doctors are unsure of what to do next and I am now looking into alternative medicines. I am looking to raise $30,000 in order for me to be able to continue my treatments and be cured of this disease. At this stage in my cancer journey, I am starting to experience more and more fluid in the lung, which is due to the cancer itself. It could potentially become very dangerous, but doctors are doing all that they can to remove it and keep it under control. I am continuing to trust and believe in the Lord and I know that "all things work together for good to them that love God. "Roman 8:28.
