Angel Flights for those affected by Covid-19

Hi my name is Shawn, I am a 370+ hour instrument rated pilot in Nashville, TN with a passion for helping people!
I am raising money to pay for the costs of flying Angel Flights to directly benefit those affected by Covid-19. The mission may be flying passengers who are directly affected by Covid 19 who otherwise would be unable. These passengers could be patients that have urgent medical needs that have nothing to do with Covid-19 but can't get to the medical facilities necessary to due to travel restrictions, current airline capacity or schedule limitations. This is in addition to transporting medical supplies, lab tests, etc. As you can imagine our healthcare system is absolutely overrun with logistical needs right now and the Angel Flight program is doing wonderful things to assist! Traditionally, Angel Flight pilots own their own airplane and donate their time, their aircraft, and the fuel to fly these flights. I have all the time in the world to help. But I don't currently have an aircraft. The one that I flew was destroyed last month in the Nashville tornado. So I am looking to raise funds so that I can rent the aircraft needed to help.
Depending on the mission and availability of aircraft the hourly 'wet' rate (including gas) will be between $160 - $325 per flight hour. The aircraft on the higher end of the pricing fly farther, faster, and carry more weight!
So you can see how the cost can add up quickly. A round trip flight of 2 hours (each direction) on the high end could cost as much as $1300-$1400. But that is a small price to pay if it means delivering supplies that help hundreds, lab tests to diagnose disease, or transporting a patient in need of a life-saving transplant!
Flying is not my profession, its my passion! Due to Covid-19 I now have a lot more free time to use my aviation skills to help people! I will donate as much time as necessary to fly, but I need you to help me pay for the aircraft rental and fuel. 100% of every dollar will go to only those two things. I have donated the first $1000 to the campaign to get this started and I will continue to donate to the campaign on an ongoing basis to maintain my "pro rata" share of expenses as mandated by the FAA.
I intend to shoot video, and document so that you can see how YOU have helped, and how others can see how THEY can help too and the difference it makes in peoples lives!
