Alyssa Grace Davis born 11/08/2012 daughter of Tim and Terra Davis of Hurley, MS. Alyssa was born a beautiful 6 lb 2oz baby girl coming a few weeks premature. Doctors noticed right away that Alyssa had some minor deformities of her hands and feet and difficulty breathing. She was immediatly sent to Gulfport Memorials NICU. Test were done and doctors were concerned that she was one of many babies born with a chromozome disorder. After all of the test came back normal our family was so thankful and relieved as these disorders can be fatal. Alyssa improved and was able to go home after only a few days with orders for therapy and follow up appointments with specialist to address her hands and a few other minor concerns. As days passed Alyssa continued to struggle with her feedling, breathing, coughing and weight loss. Alyssa was readmitted several times including once after having to be resusitated by her mother. Several test and labs were done all continuing to come back normal though we knew something just didn't seem right. Alyssa being sent home again with no diagnosis and awaiting several appointments with her weight fluctating from 5lbs 3oz to 6lbs 12oz. Mom and Dad demanding more test, and answers waiting as patiently as possible to get answers as to why there 7 week old baby was still not thriving. On the morning Jan 2nd Terra took Alyssa in as she did almost daily for her O2 and weight check and Alyssa was in acute respiratory distress. She was put in an ambulance and rushed to USA Women & Childrens Hospital in Mobile, AL. Alyssa had developed pneumonia and also has a UTI.

UPDATE 5/18/13

Alyssa was admitted back into the PICU at USA C&W and has been put back on the ventilator after crashing. She has "Bocavirus" and is very sick, she also has Pneumonia and it could take several weeks to clear the virus because there is no immediate treatment for it. She has been having bronchial spasms and needing alot of asthma medicines to help her. She is so fragile already and any type of cold can push over the edge. Tim and Terra would like to thank everyone who is praying for our sweet Alyssa. We believe in the POWER OF PRAYER because we have seen GOD work so many times in her life.

Alyssa also has an acct set up at Hancock bank under "Alyssa Grace Davis Benefit Fund" for medical expenses and to help while her parents travel back and forth and while Tim is out of work to be by Alyssa's side. Anything is greathly appreciated.. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!!

Update 1/23/14

Recently, this precious baby was admitted to PICU again. I was led to ask her mom if I could set this campaign up for them. Here is her most recent post via Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/PrayersForAlyssaGraceDavis
"X ray shows her lungs are worsening. Her blood work shows her CRP is 17. It should be below 2 and it was 12 on Tuesday when we came in so that is Sig of inflammation or infection somewhere. All of her cultures are still negative. We are still waiting. She is still only on 5 liters 40% high flow. Her temp went back up again and her respiratory rate is still up. Please continue to pray for Alyssa... we know GODS GOT THIS."

Please share and donate. I'm sure this it's overwhelming to their pocketbook.
