My name is Bryan Clay, a.k.a. SICKMAN, and this fundraiser is for my dear friend, Kenneth Churchill.
Ken is, by far, one of the most selfless human beings I have ever had the pleasure of working with & the author of a free online book titled “American Homeless Land Model” as well as a Punk Poet.
Ken has been a homeless advocate for the past 4 decades and we would cross paths during the mid 90's over a song I had written called Streetman, about a homeless man I had the privledge to spend some time with, while my band Scoundrel was performing in NYC.
Since then, we would spend the next decade working and performing together for charities to help raise food, clothing, jackets and blankets for local homeless communities around Nassau & Suffolk counties on Long Island, and have remained close friends ever since.
In the last 5 years, Ken has since taken his fight to Daytona, where the homeless population has grown to increasingly larger numbers, to talk to legislative leaders about his Land Model proposal and speak on area talk shows to help raise awareness.
Ken has been doing all of this in his 15+ y/o vehicle, traveling back and forth from Long Island, to upstate New York and out to Daytona, to continue speaking to government officials, (like in the video on this page) doing radio shows and interviews on local cable TV shows, raising awareness, trading thoughts and ideas with individuals that can make a real difference!
He has been doing all of this, for MANY years, on his own dime.
Ken is now 71 and his car will no longer make these trips safely. Ken has been surviving on Social Security and cannot afford a newer vehicle, which is why I put this campaign together on Go Fund Me.
Your kind donation will not only help Ken get back to doing what he is so passionate about, but will also help the many lives Ken’s work will affect, by continuing to make these speeches and appearances to where he’s needed most.
To see all of Ken's videos and read his free online book, go to homelesslandmodel.com, created and supported by yours truly.
Thanks so much for the love and support and please share to anyone that can help!
