Harvey Relief to Rebuild

My childhood home fell victim to Hurricane Harvey in the early hours of Sunday morning. While my mom was volunteering at the hospital, my dad and younger sister lifted what they could into the attic by candle and flashlight. We're pretty prepared people but this storm was unlike any other and the flash flood caught us all by surprise. Thankfully, the three have reunited under one roof in a motel with their three fur babies. They have been blessed with food from friends and a place to wash the handful of clothes they managed to grab. Life is good. When the waters recede, we will come to terms with what was lost. 38 years of memories, childhood firsts, many family talks around a table that now no longer exists. I'm posting this for those who have asked to donate money because we don't yet know what starting from scratch necessities will be. Thank you all in advance for your love, support, hope, and willingness to stand by us as we walk into this next chapter together, hand-in-hand. You are our community and it is because of you, we feel strong enough to take on each day ahead.

With so much love,
