Replace Oak Ridge Stolen Football Equip
Donation protected
Last year, Oak Ridge High School/Orlando, which serves many lower income families, had all of their football equipment stolen during the renovation of the school. They are using garbage cans as blocking dummies. 100 sets of shoulder pads have been donated and we are trying to get the rest of the basics. Given the income level of the students' families, the cost of even simple cleats can be a burden. With the money raised we plan on buying 50 Pair of cleats, which are recycled each year, and two blocking sled type pieces of equipment. They have need for many other items but these will help to get the program back on the right path. Don't feel any amount is to small as we could use every dime. Here is a link to a story of the program and its challenges.
