Supplies for Soup Kitchen

Volunteering for the Greater West Hollywood Food Coalition (GWHFC) is an extrodinary experience. During my 5 years working in this kitchen, I have come to truly value and respect this great organization and all the dedicated volunteers (some homeless) who show up day after day for their community. Using all donated goods, we prepare a daily hearty and nutritious meal to serve 200-300 of LA's homeless men, women and children. There are a few items that are desperately needed in the kitchen to keep this program running and I'm hoping to rasie some money to cover the expenses. Mainly, we need more stove burners (there are only 2), an additional cooktop for meal preperation, and some metal lids for the casserole pans. These items will allow a better volunteer flow the kitchen and more efficient/sanitary food prep, resulting in a overall improved experience for the volunteers and most importantly, the homeless population that we serve.
